Taste and See: Help

Magi. St Philip’s Cathedral, Birmingham. (c) 2018, Allen Morris

Go before us with heavenly light, O Lord,
always and everywhere,
that we may perceive with clear sight
and revere with true affection
the mystery in which you have willed us to participate.
Through Christ our Lord.

Solemnity of the Epiphany
Prayer after Communion

The wise men needed the guidance of a star and heavenly wisdom as they journeyed to and from Bethlehem. We are no less in need of the light that comes from God’s care and compassion.

We need it not only for our own well-being, but in order that we might fruitfully share the love and knowledge of God that is entrusted to us.

  • Where do you doubt the clarity of your vision?
  • Pray (again?) for the Lord’s help
