Taste and See: Black Friday and Cyber Monday in perspective?

Yesterday’s Prayer after Communion at yesterday’s Mass (and there at today’s Mass too…) has something important to say as we reel from Black Friday and through Cyber Monday.

May these mysteries, O Lord,
in which we have participated,
profit us, we pray,
for even now, as we walk amid passing things,
you teach us by them to love the things of heaven
and hold fast to what endures.
Through Christ our Lord.

  • What is passing?
  • What endures?
  • What do you find you are trying to hold fast to most?
